Harman Kardon’s new premium sound system for the S-Class uses Alumaprene speakers and Logic 7 technology for surround sound.

The DTCP encryption technology ensures fully-digital transport of the audio signals and the extended Speed-Sensitive Volume Adjustment (SSVA) offers consistent sound quality at any driving condition, thanks to continuous adjustment of sound balance and loudness in response to the speed of the car.

The premium surround sound system is perfectly integrated into the infotainment system of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2009, for which the Harman International Automotive Division is also responsible.

The navigation system has an impressive 3D map display: in addition to the three-dimensional display of mountains and valleys, various points of interest (POIs) or entire city regions are shown in three dimensions. In a world’s first, the new split-view technology allows the driver and passenger to watch different content on the same screen at the same time.
