Reicom, an Italian engineering company specialising in microelectronic systems for telecommunications and advanced embedded systems, has developed patents and technology solutions that can change the way the automotive industry approaches the infotelematics V2V and V2I business.

The company has now introduced its new product to the automotive industry: a new multi-standard System on Chip (SoC) optimised for low-cost IEEE multi-standard wireless OEM transceivers specific for automotive applications, enabling the era of V2V and V2I.

Any Tier 1 or vehicle manufacturer can have, in one turnkey OEM broadband radio module, the benefits of Wi-Fi, plus the benefit of IEEE 802.11p and DSRC all together and open to the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) devices, to Bluetooth and to the GSM/GPRS/UMTS world.
