Navigon iPhone app proves popular, now includes free updates

The NAVIGON MobileNavigator has everything a full-function navigation system should have – and now comes with an even more extensive range of features.

Customers will benefit from new attractive features from as early as July, receiving them completely free of charge as an update via the App Store. Features include additional language versions for such European countries as Portugal, Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey, Croatia, Romania, Slovakia, Greece and Russia, as well as the route planning function familiar to other NAVIGON devices.

Even before setting off, the proposed journey can now be planned in advance, including pre-selected destinations en route. Radar warning is also integrated into the software, while further software optimisation ensures an even better display of maps – for example, by showing street names in 3D.

The typical look and feel of the iPhone is reflected in the new Call POI function, where the telephone number of a special destination can be dialled directly, or added to the contacts stored in the iPhone.

A further new feature is optimisation of the volume adjustment when the navigation system, and the iPod application integrated within the iPhone, are used at the same time.
