..Different from the international market, China’s Telematics industry is still at the start-up stage and influenced by policies, situations, and consumption environment of upstream/downstream industries. For OEMs that are exploring Telematics strategies, there will be a good chance to find desired answers from the forthcoming Telematics@China 2009 summit forum, which will be held on December 8 and 9 in Shanghai. By August 20, 134 delegates from OEMs already confirmed their participation. The forum has been widely supported by world-renowned companies in the industry.
Delphi has become the diamond sponsor of the event, and Continental together with China’s local Telematics service provider Beijing 95190 Information Technology Co., Ltd. that serves Toyota G-Book have become the platinum sponsors. The speaker lineup will cover 30 top industry elites including Gartner vice president Thilo Koslowski. The strategic media partners Harvard Business Review and NAVIBIZ, as well as the newly confirmed special supporting media Telematics News will also contribute their efforts to help deliver a wonderful Telematics industry event of the largest scale in the world by the end of 2009.
Themed “The integration of Car ICT and Personal ICT Creates the Next Generation Telematics,” the forum is comprised of two parts focused on “What China can learn from global markets” and “Local wisdom for the China market”. Regarding “What China can learn from global markets,” Telematics@China forum will give answers by exploring the trend of next-generation Telematics and navigation, Car ICT and Personal ICT strategies, and applications of mobile communications such as phone and PND. As for “Local wisdom for the China market,” the forum will present experience and lessons learned from the G-Book service in China, as well as discussions about infotainment & navigation, eCall & bCall, digital broadcasting and Internet information services.
Organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China), Telematics@China is an international forum tailor-made for vehicle OEMs in China, where they can discuss about Telematics strategies and share international and domestic experience. The first Telematics@China summit held in 2008 attracted over 400 delegates, with over 30% from global mainstream OEMs. The forum this year is expected to attract over 500 industry elites from around the world, with 36% from vehicle OEMs.
