Shanghai to witness the world’s largest telematics event at 2009 year-end


With the introduction of OnStar into China, Telematics has fast become the focus of attention in China auto industry and among auto consumers.

Various translated names for Telematics indicate Chinese auto consumers’ recognition of it and their concern is being shifted from vehicle itself to vehicle related information services.

The Telematics@China 2009 summit forum organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China) and hosted by NaviForum Shanghai is held just at the right time this December in Shanghai, which provides a broad platform for vehicle OEMs in China to discuss Telematics strategies and share international experience.

Till Nov. 9, 2009, 181 OEM delegates already confirmed to attend the event in written form, covering SAIC, GM, BMW, VW, Benz, Toyota, Nissan, FAW, Audi, Chrysler, Ford, Hyundai, Fiat, Chery, Geely, etc.

Themed “the integration of Car ICT and Personal ICT creates the next-generation Telematics”, the event will attract over 30 industry elites to speak and more to join panel discussions, covering various aspects of the industry, such as the trend of next-generation Telematics and navigation, mobile phone and PND applications, G-Book experience, Telematics significance, infotainment, E-Call and B-Call, digital broadcasting, and Internet.
