UK: Network operator Three, selling in-car Wi-Fi device

Three, a telecom operator in the UK, is now offering Wi-Fi connectivity for cars. This user friendly mobile internet is specifically designed to keep passengers connected on the motorways journeys. It is perfect for those who travel frequently as now they can use their laptops, games consoles and smartphones without any trouble.

The modem provides users with download speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps with a provision of Plug’n’Play installation on Windows (2000, XP, Vista) and Mac (10.4 and 10.5).

The package includes 1GB of data that’s valid for up to 30 days (after which users can just top-up whenever they need more internet data).

  • User Guide
  • Sim Card
  • Onboard software that starts each time users connect the device to a PC or laptop using the USB cable to send and receive text messages or adjust Wi-Fi connection settings.

Currently, Three is selling the in-car Wi-Fi modem for £60 with free next day delivery and 14 days return policy.

Note: Three already offers a home mobile broadband service called MiFi, which consists of a Wi-Fi router with built-in SIM.
