Commsignia participates in EU Horizon 2020 project on vehicle cybersecurity

Modern vehicles are becoming increasingly capable of establishing connectivity that allows the rich-information exchange between vehicles (V2V) and between vehicles and road infrastructure units (V2I) – together referred to as V2X or C2X.

The H2020 SAFERtec project (that will run from Jan 2017 to Dec 2019) seeks to explore in-depth the involved vulnerabilities of connected vehicles, apply innovative techniques for attack modeling, experimentally validate the quantification of security assurance levels and also contribute to relevant standards.

With a total budget of 3.8 million Euros funded by the European Commission, 9 partners of industrial, SME and academic profile coming from 6 different countries are joining their expertise to contribute to the vision of introducing a security assurance framework tailored for future networked vehicular technology.

” Commsignia provides the industry’s best complete security stack for V2X communication. We are also the first company to successfully interface and publicly demonstrate a working solution with the US DOT SCMS (US Department of Transport Security Credential Management System). Our stack is a flexible and feature rich solution offering the optimal combination of software and hardware based functions.” explains András Váradi, Commsignia’s lead within the project. ”
