Telenav, a provider of connected-car and location-based services, announced that its connected navigation is a component in the latest generation of the Opel Multimedia Navi Pro Infotainment System found in the automaker’s Insignia models (Grand Sport, Sports Tourer, Country Tourer, and GSi; and in Astra vehicles later this summer). Telenav’s intelligent, connected car platform understands individual driver patterns and applies these insights to deliver more personalized searches.

Telenav’s connected-navigation solution uses over-the-air (OTA) map updates and online, real-time traffic alerts to guide the user to his/her destination the best way possible. Telenav routing integrates with real-time traffic data to provide drivers with personalized route options enhanced with up-to-the-second ETAs, traffic incidents, and speed flows.

The Opel Multimedia Navi Pro Infotainment system also has Telenav’s One Box Search feature that provides drivers with accurate, fast, and real-time results. Telenav’s Search Analytics Learning Engine constantly retunes to provide an enriched search experience that is consistent between text and voice, regardless of connectivity.

Telenav connected navigation provides Opel Multimedia Navi Pro Infotainment system users with the following features:

  • Proactive key address detection enhanced with auto-suggest and word prediction
  • Real-time traffic and ETA
