CGI Studio GmbH announces the integration of Ultraleap’s hand tracking and mid-air haptics technologies into Incari, CGI Studio’s automotive HMI development platform. This collaboration signals the next step for the future of car Human Machine Interface (HMI) design and implementation.

The integration will allow new touchless interaction methods to be created in the platform and gives User Interface and Interaction Designers the possibility to define an even more comprehensive User Experience.

By supporting natural 3D interaction through advanced and reliable hand tracking combined with mid-air haptic feedback, the overall HMI development experience for the automotive industry will be enhanced. Developers will be able to create HMI solutions that deliver a premium experience to consumers.

The Incari HMI development platform is increasingly being adopted as an essential part of the vehicle development workflow. It allows for cross department collaboration so that designers and engineers can work on the same basis in the HMI creation process.

UI and Interaction Designers are able to focus on content creation and quickly build a new HMI that is then compiled to a vehicle system where engineers can focus on implementation and logic development. The Incari HMI development platform streamlines the entire workflow of HMI production, allowing for an agile development process, eliminating redundant manual tasks and reducing effort spent.

The Ultraleap integration for Incari Studio is currently in Beta release with a prototype running in a driving simulator. In the future, customers can access the integration via a plugin from Incari Studio.
