Wejo has unveiled Wejo Studio – a web-based SaaS platform that analyzes data from millions of connected vehicles and translates billions of data points in real-time into traffic and journey insights. Organizations and businesses – such as public sector transportation departments, real estate companies and fleet and logistics companies – can leverage the platform to deepen their understanding of key mobility trends through connected vehicle data. Wejo Studio allows this to be done without the cost of managing big data or required technical capabilities.
Wejo is continually expanding the ways it allows access to insights queries that run over the large, complex, data sets that come from connected vehicles. Wejo Studio’s model aligns with those plans, providing readable insights from this data. Through a range of Insight Products, it offers standardized traffic and journey visualizations across several themes. These are tailored toward a broad range of different industries and use cases.
Intersection Performance, for example, allows traffic planners to quickly understand how drivers move through intersections. Wejo Studio visualizes turning movement counts, ratios and peak-hours – filtering by time and day. Origin/Destination determines the travel patterns of drivers by visualizing their journeys from start to finish across cities, counties and states. This function allows users filter by zip code and vehicle type to sort and understand trends by time and location.
Points Of Interest works to help retailers, property managers and service providers understand where drivers travel from, how long they stay at a POI and where they go when they leave this point. At select roads, public infrastructure, billboards of other waypoints that vehicles may pass, Waypoints assists users in making better decisions in areas such as road management, traffic planning and marketing. It identifies the types of vehicles that pass these points and calculates the approximate start and end points of their journeys.
Historical Traffic Patterns allows users to identify congestion bottlenecks, understand how vehicle density varies through time. Similarly, it can identify average driving speed and travel times and help users understand mobility pain points across the road network.
