SKODA has previewed the interior of its new Slavia for the Indian market in a series of official design sketches. The Slavia’s cabin conforms to SKODA’s interior concept featured in a selection of its other models and features new design elements.

These include round air vents, a horizontal decorative trim strip and embossed wordmarks on the binnacle. Like SKODA’s Kushaq SUV, the new Slavia slots into the A0 segment and is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform. This is a version of the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Transverse Matrix that has been specifically adapted for the Indian market, ensuring it complies with region’s new safety and emissions requirements.

At the center of the new Slavia is a free-standing 10-inch infotainment touchscreen. Underneath this display is a character line that also serves as a hand rest when operating it. The digital instrument cluster’s display can be seen behind the two-spoke multifunction steering wheel.

Skoda has confirmed that the full reveal of its new Slavia model will take place on the 18th of November.
