Hyundai has announced the Creta, a new SUV, at the 2021 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show with a range of new infotainment and connectivity features.

The SUV features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a digital display. This display allows the user to control various convenience features – including display color settings on the instrument cluster panel. These settings can also be changed when adjusting the driving mode. The cluster is complemented by an 8.0-inch Display Audio system which can be connected to smartphones. The device is connected to eight BOSE Premium Sound System speakers.

Hyundai Motors Indonesia also confirmed the SUV would take advantage of Hyundai Bluelink. The OEM’s connected car service allows customers to connect to their car through a smartphone. Through the app, Creta owners can identify the vehicle’s condition, turning the engine on/off, set the cabin temperature, lock or unlock the door, turn on the horn, turn the lights on/off and find where the vehicle is parked.

It also allows customers to access advanced vehicle features, such as Stolen Vehicle Notification & Stolen Vehicle Tracking. These features operate when an attempted vehicle theft occurs by sending a notification to the customer’s smartphone, allowing the user to identify the current position of the car.

Another key safety feature supported by BlueLink is Stolen Vehicle Immobilization. This service available allows users contact the Call Center and request the stolen car to be temporarily stopped. Further safety features include ACN (Auto Collision Notification), an SOS/Emergency Assistance button, and Roadside Assistance (RSA). These are available for the car owner in the event of a medical emergency or when the car is damaged.

Through Hyundai Bluelink, the car owner can ensure that their vehicle is operating properly through its Manual / Automatic Diagnostic Report feature. This automatically performs a diagnostic if something if the car is faulty. Driving Information and Vehicle Health Report work similarly, providing a monthly report of the car’s activities. Vehicle Status Check/Notification helps to inform the maintenance condition of the car in a form of a notification.

There are also more features in Hyundai Bluelink that run round-the-clock security for the car, including Geo-Fence Notification to set the digital perimeter for the car. This then alerts the owner if the perimeter is violated. Additionally, Speed Notification can be used to set a desired speed limit; Time-Fence Notification can be used to set up a dedicated time frame in which the car is operational; Valet Mode protects the car when receiving valet parking services; and Idling Time Notification provides an alert when the car’s engine is left turned on for more than the set time limit.

Hyundai has not yet confirmed a release date for the Creta SUV, although orders for it will begin in November 2021.
