Kia Corporation has revealed its all-electric SUV concept, the Kia Concept EV9 at the 2021 LA Auto Show.

Conceptualized as a look into what Kia’s next EV could look like, the Concept EV9 adopts its Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). On it, the SUV delivers up to 300 miles (482 kilometers) of range. It also features ultra-fast charging technology, at up to 350 kW, that allows the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes.

Inside the Concept EV9, An interactive 27-inch ultra-wide display connects serves as the nerve center for all driver and passenger requirements, including media, climate control and comfort functionality features. The driver can benefit from the concept’s pop-up steering pad, a retractable steering yoke, while all occupants can benefit from its interior modes.

Pause Mode modifies the EV’s interior space to resemble a lounge experience, allowing occupants to interact with each other. In this mode, the seats pivot to enable occupants seated in the first-row and third-row to face each other. At the same time, the second-row seats fold down to become a table.

When Enjoy Mode is enabled, all three-rows of seating are turned around, while the tailgate opens to provide occupants with a view of the environment outside.

The Concept EV9 will be on display at AutoMobility LA and the LA Auto Show from November 17 to 28.
