Mitsubishi has unveiled the Airtrek, a new vehicle launched under GAC Mitsubishi, the OEM’s vehicle production and sales joint venture in China. The electric SUV made its debut at this year’s Auto Guangzhou event. While infotainment details have not yet been confirmed, Mitsubishi did reveal that the will interior feature a horizontally-themed instrument panel.

The new Airtrek will utilize a 70 kWh battery, and provide a maximum driving range of approximately 323 miles (520 kilometers) under CLTC.

Installing the drive battery in the center of the floor has achieved an ideal front-rear weight distribution with a low center of gravity. The motor, inverter, and reduction drive have been integrated into a single lightweight, compact unit. This is combined with a driving system that delivers high output and torque inside a lightweight, high-rigidity body.
