BlackBerry and L-SPARK have announced a third phase of their joint accelerator program, which aims to grow Canadian technology companies focused on connected vehicle solutions.

The partnership also works to help small and medium-sized technology enterprises bring new products to market using BlackBerry’s QNX technology. As part of its third phase, the program will now provide select companies with access to BlackBerry IVY, its Intelligent Vehicle Data Platform. Adopting IVY will enable these companies to develop high-impact solutions that can leverage in-vehicle data to improve driver and passenger experiences.

L-SPARK will again turn to the expertise of the National Research Council of Canada-Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP), to reach out to companies with business models and technologies that could benefit from working with the BlackBerry QNX product group.

Applications to the program will be open until March 7 2022. After this, both companies will host a selection day that will see up to six companies join the third phase of its program.
