Ahead of its fall 2022 launch, Lexus USA has detailed the pricing structure and key features of the 2023 ES range – including the Lexus Interface multimedia system, a redesigned center console, and two new trims. The new trims, called the F Sport Design and F Sport Handling, provide further styling and performance upgrades.

Pricing for the range starts at $42,490 for the ES 350 and ES 250 AWD, before increasing to $43,690 for the ES 300h. The F Sport Design trim is available on the 350 and 250 models for $47,075, and the 300h for $48,075, while the F Sport Handling is available on the same models for $48, 950 (ES 350) and $49,985 (ES 350h). These prices include a delivery, processing, and handling fee of $1,150.

Inside, new features for the 2023 model year work to add convenience and enhance the user experience. Among these are a redesigned center console, a new sunglass holder, new cup holder location, and an available wireless charger. The 2023 ES additionally introduces the new Lexus Interface multimedia system provided headed by a central display.

Offered as a standard 8.0-inch touchscreen, this display provides a higher resolution than the previous generation, features anti-glare technology, and can be controlled by touch controls or voice commands. The new Lexus Interface also allows for dual Bluetooth phone connectivity, with support for standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The new F Sport Design trim retains the above features while adding Lexus’ Intuitive Park Assist and F Sport exterior styling. The F Sport Handling grade provides Sport+ and Custom Drive modes alongside the Intuitive Park Assist, and a heated steering wheel. On both trims, a range of optional features are offered – including a 12.3-inch Lexus Interface display and a 17-speaker Mark Levinson PurePlay surround sound system.

Across all trims, the ES’ infotainment system includes a Voice Assistant available through voice activation or by pressing a button on the steering wheel. Activated through the ‘Hey Lexus’ command, the assistant allows for several vehicle functions to be controlled through similar commands. Designed with dual microphones, enhanced noise-cancellation, seat detection and speaker location capabilities, it enables a voice-first approach providing front seat occupants an interactive experience to access media, phone and vehicle settings, such as climate control.

Safety Connect and Service Connect, a suite of available safety services, are now available with up to a 10-year trial subscription. Drive Connect, available as a trial or subscription, provides access to Cloud Navigation, Destination Assist and the Intelligent Assistant features. The Cloud Navigation offered through Drive Connect allows for real-time traffic and routing information and Points of Interest (POI). To ensure up-to-date search capability, Google POI data is integrated. Destination Assist gives the user access to 24/7 live agent assistance to help them locate the next destination.

Intelligent Assistant expands upon the standard Voice Assistant capabilities. Here, convenience features such as weather and location-based notifications are accessible, including address and POI search with navigation through Intelligent Assistant. With a Wi-Fi Connect trial or subscription, the Integrated Streaming offers integrated audio streaming functionality. Interface services are 4G network dependent.
