The Lucid Group has revealed the production-specification Air Pure and Air Touring models – a pair of entry-level variants of its Air EV.

While available in two configurations, Air Pure will launch as a dual-motor AWD model delivering 480 hp (357 kw). This version is set to enter production next month, with deliveries to begin before the end of 2022. In 2023, a single-motor RWD version of Air Pure will follow.

Offering a lighter battery pack, built with fewer modules, Air Pure provides 410 miles (659 km) of range in its all-wheel-drive form. When recharging the EV’s battery, the OEM’s Wunderbox technology – offered as standard – can replenish up to 200 miles of range in 15 minutes.

The Lucid Air Touring is built on a dual-motor AWD powertrain – delivering a maximum output of 620 hp (462 kW). It can accelerate from 0 – 60 mph (96.5 km/h) in 3.4 seconds, and has an estimated range of 425 miles (683 km).

In addition to revealing these new variants, Lucid also provided more information on the Air Sapphire – its luxury super-sports sedan. While releasing limited specifications, it confirmed that the latest performance estimates for the variant included a 0-60 mph (96 km/h) time of 1.89 seconds, reaching 0-100 mph (160 km/h) in 3.87 seconds, and a top speed of 205 miles per hour (329 km/h). The variant also provides a maximum power output of 819 hp (602 kW) and a maximum range of 516 miles (830 km), provided the car is fitted with 19″ wheels.

Information about the availability and timing of specific Air variants in markets outside the US and Canada will be announced at a later date.
