Next.e.go has announced a new partnership with Sibros, a Silicon Valley connected vehicle platform start-up. Through it, Sibros will integrate its connected mobility solutions into e.Go’s latest EV, the e.wave X.
Launched in October 2022, the e.wave X is a BEV designed for urban environments that uses spaceframe technology in the design of its chassis. In addition to its sustainable materials and manufacturing procedures, the EV also features replaceable and recyclable polymer skins, as well as smart and exchangeable batteries. These batteries help power the EV’s low maintenance, long-lasting, electric drivetrain.
Through the strategic partnership, Sibros will provide e.GO with its Deep Connected Platform. The platform works to support vehicle-wide data management and OTA software updates, while enhance the overall customer experience of connected vehicles. The platform’s data collection capabilities will create insights that enable a range of connected and value-added fleet services, while its OTA software updates will help evolve and improve the experience of e.GO’s vehicles throughout their life cycle.
Sibros’ connected vehicle solution will take advantage of the its existing partnerships from automotive and beyond, such as its integration with Google Cloud for Automotive. The technology firm’s software platform comprises a variety of scalable vehicle-to-cloud solutions – spanning data analytics, visualization, AI, machine learning, and API management tools.
In addition to supporting e.GO’s own operations, the partnership is also looking to help newer OEMs targeting business opportunities in fleet management. It will likewise work to offer these automakers a variety of services that aim to enhance the core user experience of their vehicles.
