Jeep has unveiled the first specifications and pricing details of its Avenger EV, the brand’s first all-electric SUV.

The Stellantis brand will initially offer a limited-edition Avenger, ahead of the full range launch in June. With the SUV, Jeep is looking to offer a capable, compact EV with enhanced ground clearance, approach, breakover, and departure angles. The vehicle interior delivers a technologically advanced interior that provides ample space for cargo and contents.

The limited-edition model will provide customers with a maximum power rating of 156 hp (115 kW) and up to 260 Nm (191 lb-ft) of torque, in addition to a specific e-powertrain calibration train. While specs on the vehicle’s battery pack have not yet been revealed, Jeep advised that the Avenger will offer an EV driving range of 248 miles (399 km) on a single charge. Fitted with a CCS 2 socket, the model supports up to 100-kW rapid charging on DC – enabling a 0% to 80% recharge in around 30 minutes. In five minutes, Jeep estimates that 28 miles can be restored – matching what it claims is the mileage needed to support average daily usage.

The new Avenger is equipped with standard SelecTerrain and Hill Descent Control, which together work to enhance the EV’s driving capabilities. The Selec-Terrain system offers six modes: ‘Normal’ for everyday driving; ‘Eco’ to enhance range; ‘Sport’ for more driving fun; ‘Snow’ for maximum traction on icy roads or trails; ‘Mud’ to optimize mud performance and enhance grip; and ‘Sand’ to reduce the risk of the vehicle becoming stranded on sandy soil.

Inside, the EV’s infotainment system is spearheaded by a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen – with DAB, voice recognition capabilities, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto counted as key features. A wireless smartphone charger and keyless entry-and-go are offered as further convenience features. The Avenger likewise offers a range of safety features, including ACC with lane centering and traffic jam assist (for L2 semi-autonomous driving), 360-degree parking sensors, and a 180-degree rear camera. It also comes with a blind spot monitor, an auto dimming rear view mirror, hands free power liftgate, and a traffic sign recognition system with intelligent speed assist and rain sensors.
