Xpeng has revealed its next two models set to launch in select European markets – the G9 SUV and the new P7 sports sedan. Both are now available to order in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

The G9 features the OEM’s latest powertrain system, battery technology, and ADAS. The upgraded P7 meanwhile offers customers enhanced range, faster charging speeds, and a new smart cabin. Both models are available in AWD or RWD configurations through three trims – RWD Standard Range, RWD Long Range, and AWD Performance.

For the European market, Xpeng’s G9 model leverages a new 800-V Silicon Carbide platform as part of its powertrain, allowing for ultra-fast charging at a maximum capacity of 300 kW. With this capacity, 100 km (62 miles) of range can be replenished in five minutes, while the SUV’s 98-kWh battery can be recharged from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes. These technologies, together, support the 354-mile (570 km) range offered on the G9’s RWD Long Range model.

In terms of performance, the G9’s AWD version provides up to 551 hp (405 kW) of power, with a maximum torque of 550 lb-ft (717 Nm), and can accelerate from 0 – 62 mph (0 – 100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds.

The new P7’s all-wheel drive model accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 4.1 seconds – with its standard Brembo brakes offering enhanced control. It can be charged at up to 175 kW on DC, allowing for a 10% to 80% charging time of 29 minutes. Building on its last generation, the new P7’s maximum range has now increased to an estimated 357 miles (576 km) on its RWD Long Range version.

In both models, an upgraded version of Xpeng’s in-car Xmart OS comes with a new 3D UI that supports English, Nederlands, Dansk, Norsk, and Svenska. An upgraded “Hey, Xpeng” voice assistant distinguishes complex voice commands from all four zones of the cabin. The OS is hosted on wide infotainment screens and offers a library of in-car apps that aim to assist, inform, and entertain drivers and passengers. These software features and services, as well as the firmware of both models, will be supported and improved through OTA updates. In addition to its standard equipment, customers can figure their P7 or G9 with a premium Dynaudio sound system.

In partnership with Plugsurfing and Shell Recharge, two European charging operators, P7 and G9 drivers will be able to access a network of more than 400,000 public charging stations across Europe. The OEM will likewise utilize local partnerships to provide new customers with third-party home charger and installation services.

While pricing varies between markets due to regional currencies, the G9 model will retail from €57,990 ($62,357) in the Netherlands, while the P7 will begin at €49,990 ($53,755) in the country. Xpeng has scheduled European deliveries for the new P7 to begin in June 2023, with G9 deliveries expected to follow in September.
