EVgo has announced a new collaboration with American Honda Motor that will benefit drivers of Honda and Acura EVs, including charging credit and technology integration into the HondaLink and Acura EV smartphone apps, as well as access to EVgo’s nationwide network and roaming partners. Through the partnership, drivers of qualifying EV models will also be eligible to receive up to $750 (€712 / £617) in charging credit to use at EVgo’s chargers around the country.
The EVgo stations will offer up to 350 kW fast charging for Honda and Acura EVs as well as further fast charging and Level 2 charging options enabled through EVgo’s roaming partners. The charge point operator will also use its EVgo Inside tool to integrate its APIs directly into the HondaLink and Acura EV apps. This integration will allow users of both apps to register for, or link their details, to an existing EVgo account, locate nearby EVgo charging stations, check real-time charger availability, and initiate a charging session within the Honda or Acura app.
