Cognizant has announced a new collaboration with Siemens that will integrate the German tech company’s digital twin solution, PAVE360, into its software-defined vehicle (SDV) solution accelerator.
The combined solution, which will also utilize Siemens’ Simcenter Prescan for sensor modeling and scenario-based testing, aims to meet rising customer demands by accelerating the SDV development cycle. It has likewise been designed to enable continuous and simulated verification and validation, streamline the development process and reduce the time required to deliver features, while also managing the increasing software complexity from diverse platforms and components.
Both companies highlighted that a shift towards continuous verification and validation throughout vehicle development can necessitate new partnerships that, themselves, can facilitate the development of robust and agile solutions. While motivating this shift, the Cognizant solution accelerator ultimately aims to address the high demand for automotive to accelerate product development and testing with limited resources, manage competitive pressures and handle the complexity of over 100 million lines of code.
