Schneider Electric, a provider of energy management and industrial automation systems, has launched its energy-efficient EV charging solution, Schneider Charge Pro, in Europe. The company confirmed that this rollout will begin in France, with the solution already available in Hong Kong, before rolling out to further countries throughout the year.
Through it, the company is aiming to accelerate EV adoption among owners of commercial fleets and multifamily residences. In alignment with the EU’s Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) requirement of upgrades to EV charging facilities by 2027, Schneider similarly envisions its charging solution addressing key barriers to growth.
Schneider Charge Pro is, itself, part of a fully integrated, turnkey solution that aims to simplify the charging experience while making it easier for charge point operators (CPOs) and building owners to retrofit or establish new EV charging facilities, and allowing electricians to easily and smoothly install these facilities. It also comes with an open system software that efficiently tracks charging times, simplifying the process for CPOs to reimburse employees charging fleet EVs at home.
