Qorix, a provider of modular and integrated automotive middleware solutions, and Qualcomm have announced a new technology cooperation aimed at accelerating the future of software-defined vehicles (SDVs).
Together, the companies are jointly looking to deliver high performance, pre-integrated and scalable solutions that helps OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers develop next generation vehicles quickly and efficiently. Here, Qorix’s middleware will be integrated on Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon Digital Chassis platforms, which includes both the Snapdragon Ride Platform and the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. Both solutions will be available separately.
Through their collaboration, Qorix and Qualcomm are focused on addressing critical integration challenges in system development by leveraging their mutual experiences with SoC and middleware solutions. The integration of Qorix’s middleware into Qualcomm’s Snapdragon technologies aims to enable high-performance, scalable solutions for advanced applications while minimizing integration challenges for OEMs and suppliers, thereby reducing complexity and accelerating development timelines. These capabilities are, together, working to support the industry-wide transition to SDVs that enable optimized performance, long-term adaptability, and robust system capabilities.
Among the benefits of Qorix and Qualcomm’s collaborations is a unified ecosystem, utilizing the combined offering of Qualcomm’s hardware platforms and Qorix’s middleware, as well as its potential to bring verified, pre-integrated solutions that simplify development and accelerate the deployment of advanced automotive systems. Qorix’s middleware, itself, can enable abstractions for application development, deterministic behavior, and mixed criticality while more broadly offering a solution including functional safety and security.
