ECARX, a provider of mobility technologies, has announced a new, strategic partnership with HERE Technologies, a location data and technology platform, to co-develop a next-generation, AI-powered in-vehicle navigation system for global automakers.
This collaboration will seek to pair HERE’s navigation platform with ECARX’s full-stack solutions to deliver an all-new navigation system designed to meet the evolving needs of global automakers. By integrating the HERE SDK and compliant global location data, the solution will enable these OEMs to shorten development cycles and time-to-market for their vehicles, while ensuring seamless compliance with various international data regulations.
Detailing their jointly developed navigation system, the companies highlighted its multi-scenario adaptability, high data accuracy, broad coverage, robust technical performance, and developer-friendly features. It is, for example, optimized for high-precision mapping, real-time navigation, and cross-platform support. The companies say that for automakers like Lotus, Lynk & Co, smart, and Hongqi, the new solution helps deliver dynamic, reliable, and personalized navigation experiences.
