Electrify America and Kia America have announced a new charging agreement to provide first-time owners of the Kia EV6 GT with 1,000 kWh of complimentary charging. The charge point operator estimates that this represents between 3,500 and 4,000 miles of electric driving range – depending on factors such as the user’s driving style and external conditions.
The announcement builds on Electrify America’s existing relationship with Kia America, through which it previously offered complimentary charging for new EV6 owners. For drivers of the new EV6 and its performance-oriented counterpart, the complimentary 1,000 kWh is redeemable at any charging station on Electrify America’s U.S. network through its smartphone app.
Kia EV6 GT owners will have three years from the date of purchase to use the complimentary charging. All customers are encouraged to download the Electrify America mobile app to facilitate charging and payment, locate stations, or check the availability of chargers.
