BMW has revealed a new head-up display, called BMW Panoramic Vision, which will launch alongside the first models built on its Neue Klasse platform. The new HUD projects across the full width of the windscreen, offering a unique interaction point and information surface for all vehicle occupants.

Its new projection technology allows for multiple visible displays to be presented across this width, showing key information at a high contrast against a dark-coated area on the lower edge of the windscreen. Through BMW Panoramic Vision, the OEM is looking to preview the driver-centric approach that will define a new iDrive control system designed for Neue Klasse vehicles.

While BMW has not yet revealed which vehicle will be the first to gain the new system, it expects the new display to be in series production from 2025.
