Ridecell has announced the Ridecell Fleet Transformation Cloud – its industry cloud system that works to simplify fleet operations, maximize fleet utilization, and unlock big data insights that, together, digitally transform fleets and fleet businesses.

In doing so, it leverages three key technologies – intelligent automation, keyless vehicle control, and flexible systems integration – to provide vehicle fleets with workflow and sustainability automations, as well as enhanced mobility offerings. Ridecell’s cloud likewise offers three central solutions – Ridecell Operations 360, Ridecell Sustainability, and Ridecell Mobility.

Ridecell Operations 360 enables businesses to easily automate their fleet operations and offers lifecycle management for every phase of the vehicle’s lifecycle – including sourcing, upfitting, operating and remarketing. The solution’s intelligent API integrations help fleets integrate their current existing IT and vendor systems, unifying real-time data for all vehicles within the fleet.

Ridecell Sustainability helps fleets reduce emissions and fuel costs while promoting driver safety. Here, an engine idle control function minimizes unnecessary idling, while meeting compliance and sustainability goals by intelligently locking and shutting off idling vehicles as needed. With integrated support for keyless access and automations for monetized fleets, Ridecell Mobility offers a streamlined user experience for both shared and rental vehicles. Its integrated management processes allow vehicles to easily be exchanged from one service to another or participate in multiple service offerings simultaneously.

The cloud’s intelligent workflow automations are triggered by multiple fleet data sources, including vehicle data, internal IT systems, driver-reported conditions, and vendor data that allow fleet teams to deploy automations as ‘digital workers’ to manage routine and predictable operational tasks. Through keyless vehicle control, fleet customers can make the switch from physical keys, associated with vehicles, to digital keys, associated with drivers. A digital key can be issued in the Ridecell Fleet Transformation Cloud that quickly provides access rights to an individual driver and their individual vehicle. Temporary keys build on this purpose, allowing a maintenance technician to ensure timely vehicle repairs for example.

Ridecell’s flexible systems integration provides insights and recommended actions for automation. Here, its cloud offers packaged components and developer tools to connect vehicles, suppliers, and IT systems – providing the ability for fleet operators to see and act upon insights from the collective data captured by all fleet management systems. The cloud’s artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and intelligent automation functions offer big data insight capabilities which are unaddressed with installed solutions as the next step in the digital transformation of fleet-based businesses.
