Audi showcased the all-new RS7 sportback at the International Motor Show, Frankfurt 2019

Hyundai Motor Company unveils 45, an electric vehicle concept, at the International Motor Show (IAA) 2019 in Frankfurt.

As an homage to its heritage and reimagined for the future, 45 foreshadows a new era of Hyundai’s automotive design focused on electrification, autonomous technologies and intelligent design. The progressive 45 puts a twist on a 45-year-old icon, the Hyundai Pony Coupe Concept, to introduce an entirely new in-car experience for self-driving vehicles of tomorrow.

Honda at IAA, Frankfurt 2019

Honda has unveiled the mass production version of its next-generation electric vehicle, the Honda e, at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. Visitors to the show will be able to see the car’s unique range of features through a series of interactive exhibits using virtual reality and other advanced technologies.

The exhibits are a central part of ‘EV World’, an area inspired by the design ethos of the Honda e which provides a backdrop for sharing its unique features and supporting technology. Alongside the interactive exhibits, Honda will show a range of charging solutions for different scenarios. From a unique on-street urban charging solution developed in partnership with Ubitricity, through to the “Power Manager Prototype” bi-directional system, Honda has developed a range of solutions to meet all customer requirements.

Opel World Premieres at 2019 IAA

With its world premieres at this year’s IAA Frankfurt International Motor Show Opel demonstrates that the automotive future is rich in variety. The IAA is where the new Opel Corsa, the Grandland X Hybrid and the new Opel Astra will make their debut – perfectly tailored to customer needs. The new Opel Corsa is not only available as an efficient, classic combustion-engine version, but for the first time also as a battery-electric Corsa-e – with a purely electric range of up to 330 kilometers according to WLTP1. Opel is also presenting the first electric rally car for customer motorsport – the Corsa-e Rally.

New Opel Connect service launched at IAA 2019

OpelConnect is launched. In future, Opel drivers will be well connected and protected with the new service. Thanks to live navigation with online traffic information, breakdown call and remote control via app, they will also feel more relaxed. In addition, the OpelConnect services and more information can be accessed via the colour touchscreen of the in-car infotainment system (compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) or via smartphone with the myOpel app. Visitors to the IAA have the first chance to find out more about the new services.

Customers can already equip their new car with OpelConnect for prices starting at €300 (RRP incl. VAT in Germany). The system is available for Opel models from new Corsa, Crossland X and Grandland X, to Combo Life, Combo Cargo, Zafira Life and Vivaro. OpelConnect is standard on Opel cars with Multimedia Navi and Multimedia Navi Pro infotainment systems, and on the new Corsa-e and the Grandland X Hybrid4

Renault showcases the all-new Renault Captur in Frankfurt

The latest model generation of the European market among the compact crossover models is characterized by even more concise design, a driver-oriented cockpit in high-quality appearance and a completely renewed drive range. Starting in 2020, Renault’s first plug-in hybrid will also feature, marking the new Captur as an important milestone on the road to powertrain electrification. Other highlights include the motorway and congestion assistant, which was available for the first time for the model, and the new networked online multimedia system EASY LINK.

Ford at IAA 2019

Ford is demonstrating its electrified future for customers at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, revealing its most comprehensive line-up of electrified vehicles. These electrified vehicles are anticipated to surpass sales of conventional petrol- and diesel-models by the end of 2022 in Europe.

Ford is launching 17 electrified vehicles offering mild-hybrid, self-charging full-hybrid, plug?in hybrid or all-electric powertrains in Europe by 2024, including eight in 2019.

Models including the all-new Kuga Plug-In Hybrid and Explorer Plug-In Hybrid SUVs, new Mondeo Hybrid wagon, and new Puma EcoBoost Hybrid crossover – making its debut in Titanium X specification – are on display at the Ford stand.

BYTON introduces first networked premium E-SUV M-Byte

BYTON, a brand of connected e-cars, unveils the BYTON M-Byte at the IAA Frankfurt. With the innovative M-Byte Cockpit, which surrounds a 48-inch (122 cm) domed display – the world’s largest in the automotive industry, BYTON fulfills its promise of implementing its user-centric operating concept. The driver can interact with the display via a 7-inch tablet, the passenger via an 8-inch tablet, as well as with gestures and voice commands (in partnership with Amazon Alexa) and buttons.

SEAT accelerates its electric offensive at the Frankfurt IAA

SEAT arrives at the Frankfurt Motor Show with its electric offensive in top gear. Following the announcement of the SEAT Mii electric and the el-Born, the brand’s first two fully electric models, at the international event CUPRA is presenting its new Tavascan concept car. It will be joined in by the new SEAT Tarraco FR PHEV, the brand’s first plug-in hybrid electric SUV, which will be making its world debut in Frankfurt and is the fourth electric model of the six that the company announced it would launch by 2021.

New Porsche products at the IAA

Porsche is presenting eight new products at the 68th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt. The focus at the IAA will be on the brand’s first all-electric sports car, the Taycan Turbo and Turbo S.

LG webOS Auto Integrates Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform
to Enhance Vehicle Productivity

LG Electronics (LG) will demonstrate a new system that integrates LG’s webOS Auto In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system with Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform at this year’s Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA). Leveraging the combined strengths of webOS Auto and MCVP, IVI can collect and transmit a wide variety of information such as driver status, door status and app usage.

The new system is designed to transfer vehicle-generated data and audio, video and navigation (AVN) usage history to Microsoft Power BI via the cloud to provide OEMs with a comprehensive data set for enhancing user experience, safety and vehicle lifecycle. This cloud service will eventually be incorporated in the upcoming webOS Auto platform to aid in improving user experience inside the vehicle. Services from partners will also be showcased on the webOS Auto-based IVI system at this year’s IAA.
