Xpeng has announced that four new Delivery and Service Centers will open in key European markets over the coming months. The news comes as the Chinese OEM readies its wider expansion to the region.
The locations will open in the first half of 2023 to aid the delivery of Xpeng’s latest EVs in Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark. Each center has been designed to support engaging customer experiences, with all focusing on pre-delivery inspections, aftersales, and repairs.
Xpeng will also offer an extensive service agreement for its customers – including an eight-year warranty for the battery and tire storage. The automaker’s smartphone app builds on this agreement with easy access to vehicle information – such as servicing requirements and history, as well as its present status.
Work will begin in February 2023, when Xpeng opens a center in Lørenskog, Norway. In the same month, its first Delivery and Service Center will open in the Netherlands – located in the town of Badhoevedorp. Opening in Q2, this center will also function as a training facility for external technicians and Xpeng staff while operating a spare parts hub in Schiphol with a Xpeng partner – reducing repair and replacement waiting times for the OEM’s European customers. During Q2 2023, a delivery center in Sweden will open in Stäket, Järfälla, following the expected end of its construction by April. The last center, located in Hillerød, Denmark is then expected to open in May 2023.
At these centers, Xpeng customers facing potential issues will have them diagnosed remotely and, if possible, solved through OTA updates to the vehicle.
In addition to its own centers, Xpeng will also begin to open authorized service locations with the support of its partners in each country. These locations will open across the region by the end of 2023 to offer greater coverage in these markets. Customers in Denmark will benefit further from a new partnership with Omnicar, a mobile car service platform, that will provide remote servicing for Xpeng’s Danish customers.
